Oink!

Let me just give my 2 cents on the slapping incident in the House.

I think, more than the issue of a Muslim allegedly eating pork via pansit, there is more to this than religion.

Yes, Lanao del Sur Rep. Faysah Dumarpa should raise hell when she learned that the pansit she ate allegedly contained pork (although that remains to be proven) but to bitch-slap the poor manager? And threaten the poor girl with a knife and all that frothing-at-the-mouth cursing?

I thought Islam is a religion of peace? This action by the lawmaker is not too convincing.

Yeah yeah, call me ignorant or insensitive on issues of religion (hell I’m not religious anyway, so sue me) but I think she acted that way not only because her soul will not go to heaven by eating pork, but also because she thinks that as an all-mighty lawmaker (and probably a very rich one) she thought she can just hurt anyone below her.

With all of the money and time they waste on investigations in aid of legislation, she did not have the time to check first if this was true and decided to just attack the poor girl?

This is not just about religion, it’s the powerful kicking the butt out of the powerless just because they can.

Never has anyone put it more aptly.

  2. And she even had the gall to tell the restaurant’s management to fie all the staff on duty that day. Ugh! The arrogance of that hag. Kudos to the owner for standing by with his staff and deciding to terminate their concessionaires contract with the lower house.

well, you can’t judge christianity through an erring christian’s deed 🙂

    cheers!
