OMG. My purple astroboy bodyfit shirt just gave me the middle finger when I tried to wear it today.
“Your swimming lessons are not enough, eat less, you whale.” the shirt virtually said.
I hate you too shirt.
Saw the Hayden Kho videos yesterday and I was genuinely disturbed. I thought I’d be turned on by the thought that I’d see Hayden naked but nah. I was disgusted with Hayden. And I felt genuine pity to the girls who were with him.
I agree with Ruby. He should be punished, not only because of his stupidity, but also because of his nerve to show his mini peepee.
But why isn’t Dr. Vicky Belo reacting? She should complain that his BF didn’t bother to record their intimate moments. Ugh the mental image! Erase erase.
Gumana na naman ang pagka-OA at balat-sibuyas ng Pinoy. Apparently any joke that’s about us needs to be blown out of proportions. As if naman we’re not prejudiced to other races. They do not complain when we call the African-American “negros”, or the chinese “intsik beho”, or the japs “sakang”.
Why aren’t the russians complaining? They’re part of the joke too. Does this mean they’re not affected? Or we’re just over reacting?
Please Loren and Bong, we know you are just using this as part of your strategy for the next election. Stick to what you do best… doing nothing.
Pwede ba, bago mag react against discrimination, ayusin nyo muna ang mga sarili nyo. Everyone’s a little bit racist, or bigot, or prejudiced. Grow up Pinoy.
Remember this Lux ad of Ate Shawie? I love it!
And in a big way.
I’ve had high hopes for this new Idol franchise. God knows how much we complained as to how the previous Idol offering from channel 5 paled in comparison to the American version. Technically, Philippine Idol was a disaster from the very beginning. But we still managed to love the channel 5 offering because despite the technicalities, they produced decent contestants. Most of the top 12 alumni have gigs from both the kapuso and kapamilya networks.
I never realized how much better that production was in comparison to the Pinoy Idol of Channel 7. To think that this is the No. 1 station in Mega Manila and Luzon, to think that they have the money and technical expertise, that the Idol franchise of channel 5 was even better.
12 million votes difference from Archey. That’s a lot of votes. David Cook is the clear winner all the way.
I’m so happy for David Cook. I am glad I followed this season from beginning to end. Next year ulit!
This early though, our local Idol search is already showing signs of lameness and mediocrity. No wonder I’m not excited. I’ve got two words for GMA7 so you can save the show this early – Louie Ignacio. Kick him out.
I admire the courage of Christian Bautista in apologizing for his mistake in singing the National Anthem. But I don’t buy the reason that nerves got in the way of his singing. It’s the National Anthem for crying out loud! Unless he lived his whole life in an island in the middle of the Pacific he should be able to sing the National Anthem by heart.
For most of my life in the elementary I was assigned during flag ceremonies to sing and “make kumpas” the National Anthem. So I’m really embarrassed every time I hear some of our countrymen bungle the singing of Lupang Hinirang. Is that an indication of how we truly feel about our being Filipinos?
Some would argue that nationalism is not just about singing the anthem. Of course it is not just about that. But respect for the flag, respect for the National Anthem and respect for our heroes are at the core of that.
So, for those who might have forgotten, here are the lyrics of the National Anthem, composed by Julian Felipe in 1898, with the lyrics written by Jose Palma in 1899.
Perlas ng Silanganan,
Alab ng puso
Sa dibdib mo’y buhay.
Duyan ka ng magiting,
‘Di ka pasisiil.
Sa dagat at bundok,
Sa simoy at sa langit mong bughaw,
May dilag ang tula at awit
Sa paglayang minamahal.
Ang kislap ng watawat mo’y
Tagumpay na nagniningning,
Ang bituin at araw niya
Kailan pa ma’y ‘di magdidilim.
Lupa ng araw, ng luwalhati’t pagsinta,
Buhay ay langit sa piling mo;
Aming ligaya, na ‘pag may mang-aapi
Ang mamatay nang dahil sa ‘yo.
